the 2006 Escalade has a 6.2 liter all aluminum engine rated at 400 hp (with variable valve timing)(and most probably regular gasoline). The 6 liter engine is now rated at 350 HP(+ 5 HP increase) also with variable valve timing. The 6.2 liter is probably a stroke change from 3.62 inches to 3.75 inches from my calculations. The Caddy web site does not actually list the bore/strokes of the 6.2.
Having said all of this I project 425 HP for a 2007 6.2 liter Corvette. And of course it will require 91 octane.

Cool! Hope it happens

The February 2006 GM High-Tech Performance issue calls this 6.2 liter engine the new L92 engine. I was wrong in assuming a stroke change...it is actually a bore change from 101.6 mm (LS2/6 liter)to 103.25 mm.
Why GM would do another bore (besides the LS1, LS2 & Z06) is beyond me but the good news is that the heads have been upgraded (with Z06/LS7 port studies), will fit the LS2, and contain larger valves. The betting is that the heads will be affordable. 2007 Model year is looking nicer.
