The 2005 Corvette utilizes a second generation HYDROFROMED steel space frame. It has aluminum subframes and with Corvettes special composite body.
Weights appox 3,179 pounds.
Having a 7.95:1 pounds to HP ratio
Note the C-6 uses 15 pounds of special insulating materials to reduce road and wind noise in its total weight.
