Hi Tracey,
Wow 6.4 for the zo6. What will the horses be? Are you planning to get one, probably?

I would say 6.0 L for all types.
Just a difference in HP, eg 400=std & 600=Z06.
No turbo, but roots-blower (more fun!)

Not quite. We know from the LS2 and LS7 GM powertrain descriptions that they will be 6 & 6.4 liters. Furthermore I believe the LS2 will be two valve and single cam based on comments made at the introduction of the V16. The LS7 nominally is thought to be 500 HP (as is the Viper and the upcoming Ford GT)and may include 3 valves (2 intake & one exhaust, one or two cams and I seriously doubt it will include direct gasoline injection. I sure don't want to pay for the insurance on the LS7.

Eh, "I'm with stupid" is cute, and I don't think any takes offense to it.
If you believe the comments and quotes in the recent SAE article about GM's 3 valve design, GM has a three valve 6.3lt engine called the 500hp engine. The article also said the Vette version of the 3 valve could safely rev to 7000rpm with a 30% safety factor and that the Vette engine could be rated as high as 8000 rpm. The 6.3 instead of 6.4 designation generated a lot of comment on another forum.
I'm with 6lt as the standard C6 engine, two valves, one cam with cam phasing, a bit more verticle valves and some change to the intake ports (higher with a cathederal window like design) all like the V16. The C6 Z06 I go with the three valve design with cam phasing and 6.4lt. Advertised power rating TBD by marketing considerations. Real power out may be considerably more than advertised particularily on the 6L engine.
