I have a 2007 LS2 Auto with paddle shifters.  I'm looking for input about the shifting.  When driving in standard auto mode it doesn't seem to shift too bad.  It manual shift mode it seem to shift much slower, even sloppy.  Is this normal?

Your problem could be vestiges of a problem I am currently enduring.

C6 Problms:  TOPIC:  Auto Transmission locked in Drive
    Posted: Yesterday at 10:02pm
After starting my 2007 Vette with Auto Paddle Shift Transmission, I pulled the shift nob back to engage Drive.  I immediately heard a mechanical metallic noise accompanied by a notchy response of the shift mechanism.  The linkage somehow jammed in D.  I attempted to shift back to PARK;  however, the mechanical jamming continued.  ...  .. ....... . Dead
Actually, when I had owned the 07 Vette just a couple of months, the same failure occurred.  Some sort of metal plate in the shift mechanism had misaligned and prevent any further movement.  Turned out that GM had a "fix" that was air-shipped to the dealer the next day.  A mechanic installed this "fix" and I had no more trouble until yesterday.
