Has anyone added a back-up camera to their C-6.   The Delco Nav System does not have a video input on these cars so some sort of after-market solution needs to be added.  Looking to evaluate alternatives.

I have a 2013 Convertible and I have been looking for a rear camera set up for the past 6 years. My first car with a backup camera was a 2012 Mustang GT. Best $240 option I ever invested in.  When I was at Corvettes at Carlisle in 2014 and had the opportunity to talk to one of the Corvette engineers, I was told that as he recalled that the C6 was the last generation of Corvette to have vacuum tubes in the radio. Man, what a downer that was. That was like Ralphie telling Santa he wants a Red Rider BB gun only to be told "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!"

In all seriousness, I have been seeing technology advances of having Blue Tooth capable systems with the  system comprising of a camera that mount to the license plate frame, a sending unit and the image received on either a cell phone or a small Blue Tooth enabled device. I think it is a matter of risking your money invested to result in getting a cheap Chinese made POS with a low reliability.

Years ago, I had heard of an individual who would modify the radio/nav system to accept a video input, but I have heard that this person no longer does that work.

I have a Yada backup camera with the 4.3" model.  It is wireless from the rear licence plate to the receiver.  I have it mounted on the windshield header above the rearview mirror using velcro.  The camera is connected to the backup lights wiring and is secured to the top of the plate.  Engage reverse and the receiver comes to light and displays the standard safety grid.  I am very pleased with it...... day or night.  There are 2 or 3 models to pick from.....  www.letsyada.com

That looks like a clean and easy install. I would have to Velcro the monitor to the backside of my visor since I have a convertible. I'll check out the site.

I have a Kenwood stereo system with the backup camera. It looks great and works great. The original radio is on the shelf for anyone who wants to put it back in. That little black dot above the "M" in the tag is the camera.

What’s the head end unit you have installed?  Does integrate with the HUD?

It's a Kenwood DNX893S. It includes sound system,  Navigation and backup camera with  an adjustable tilt screen. The previous owner installed the system. As far as the HUD it works independent of the stereo system. The only thing I notice that doesn't meld with the factory system is the steering wheel controls. The volume works, bluetooth phone connection works, the channel up and down control works. The only thing that doesn't is the radio preset program controls. The system looks like it was factory installed. If it didn't have Kenwood on it you wouldn't know it.

Did you lose the XM Radio function with the Kenwood Unit?

I don't use it but the system is SiriusXM ready. It also has two camera inputs so you can have a front (curb alert) camera and a rear camera.

Here's the link to the system:  https://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/excelon/dnx893s/
