As a new member and a prospective owner of a 2006 C6, I would like to hear opinions about the best colors for resale.
My thoughts are to look for a 2006 with 3LT, automatic and polished wheels. I am open to coupe or conv.
Thanks,
Andy

Vette(s): 2006 Monterey Red Coupe / 2013 Night Race Blue Metallic Coupe with Cashmere Interior.
I bought my 2006 new and lucked out getting Monterey Red with polished wheels. Amazing color combination. Even though it's almost 6 years old and I drive it daily, I am constantly getting complimented on the color and the paint. I have nearly 49000 miles, but it still looks great. Living in the Southeast helps alot too.

I got a 1LT since I live in the South, didn't want or need heated seats, etc. Also, with the price of external Nav systems, ie Garmin, being so cheap the price for the built in is costly.
Good luck with your search. I love my car, and am considering getting a 2012 or 2013. I keep getting offers from car dealers, NOT CHEVY, to purchase my car for above wholesale. The offers are close to blue book resale prices. Great market here.

I hate black on a Vette ... many others swear by black (I swear AT black).
I love red on a Vette ... many others hate red on a Vette.
I like Millenium Yellow on a Vette ... but not many other yellow's ... others will avoid yellow at all cost (Cop speed trap)
I despise silver on most all cars ... others LOVE silver.
It really all depends ... what color do YOU like?
If you do not like black, do not buy black because you THINK someone else will like black when you sell your Vette (and you are selling because you HATE the color of your Vette).
If you eventually sell your car privately ... someone will buy the car if they like the car ... they will buy if they like the year, body style, engine, transmission, condition of car (overall), as well as color. So, if you have RED Coupe with an A/T, and a buyer LOVES red but wants a manual ... the color does not matter.
If you trade into a dealer ... they may get red, black, silver (etc) every day, and may pay a little more for a more unusual color. They may not pay as much for your red or black Vette, if they already have 2 or 3 on their lot. My preowned MB E320 is Wedgewood Blue. It was a rare (and I think, beautiful) color. Most everybody loves the color, but dealers were afraid to order that color ... sticking to the colors they order 90% of the time ... black, silver, and white. I would not have purchased the car if it was black or silver. I was not thinking of buying a blue car, but I purchased this car because of the unique color of the car (similar to Caribbean ocean) ... but ALSO, because it was nicely optioned as I preferred.
So, of (what *I* will call), the four most popular colors (above), I hate two of them. Again, what color do YOU like?

point well taken. Luckily for me, I like most Vette colors. Orange is very interesting. When I go to shows, the detailed shiny orange C6 seem to sparkle. Hard to find used as you know.
Thanks for taking the time for your thoughts
Andy
Atomic Orange is the color I chose for my 2007 Z06. I love the color but I am not sure how well it would do if I were to sell it. Only 8% were produced so you have to assume the majority of folks wouldn't buy that color. However, if you are buying it for yourself, then chose the color you like. If you are buying with the hopes of an easy sale, then like I said above the popular colors of Black and Red are the way to go.
