C6 Convertible weighs in at 3,199 pounds
as compared to Nissan 350Z 3,428
as compared to Lexus SC 430 3,840
and note that these cars have far less muscle than the Corvette 400 HP
The rear window is now 1.2 inches wider
And 1.4 inches higher
For 18.5 percent more viewing area
The soft top material with special polyurethane that ensures a weather proof seal.

The new top is eight pounds lighter.
All this lighter materials help reduce cars curb weight and center of gravity, contributing to performance and fuel economy. (all means 180-186 mph top end!)

---This is good news for those of us in Snow Country, USA ... whether we choose to drive a C6 Vert when it gets a bit brisk (crisp, autumn nights) ... or for those who (ashamedly) have to drive a C6 Vert (in the snow) as a daily driver.
For years ... Saab (now GM) has touted their 9-3 Vert as a 365 day per year car. Hmmmm ... now I guess I can talk the wife into a C6 Vert over a 9-3 Vert (when her 9-5 sedan comes of lease)!?

Could not find additional information re: truck capacity and measurement. BUT the C-6 convertibles have a movable barrier panel that separates cargo from the top storage area, helping to safeguard personal effects when the top is lowered.
COUPE capacity: in the storage area beneath the hatch has grown from 15.1 cubic feet to 22.4 cubic feet.

---Would be interested in seeing just how much of this nearly 50% increase in space is usable!?

---I meant ... how / where would this space be added? I am always amazed at how cars get smaller, but (with technology), their interior volume gets larger. I was curious as to how/where the cargo area grew ... when the overall dimension(s) apparently became smaller. Example ... did the existing space become 3" deeper ... did GM add half a dozen storage compartments ... or ... can it now hold THREE golf bags?
