I am sure you will enjoy it. I love mine. I have almost 1,000 miles. I floored it the other day for the first time and was very impressed, it got up to at least 80 from about 10 mph on a back road. I also have a 2005 400hp in California. Both are auto's as I am now a lazy old man of 71. My first vette was a brand new 59, a stick of course. Enjoy it while you can with the winter weather. I picked mine up in Bastrop, TX close to Austin. I am now in the Houston area where we have been having lots of rain so I have been driving a 2001, that I have here, on the rainy days, didn't wat to get the new one wet and dirty. Hopefully I will be leaving Houston next week, driving the new one to Southern California. One thing to be very careful with on the car is the bolsters on the seats. They wear rapidly, so much so that I have had covers on the 2001 and 2005 since new. The 2010 is a 4lt, the seats look so good without covers I hate to put them on it.

Ps I did try to post a photo. I had so much trouble trying to do it I gave up.

Here's a wave in advanceThumbs Up      ENJOY

i ordered the 2009 convert in january 09,the plant was closed until march.got the 09 april 1,and found out a few months later about the grand sport.i have been wanting a convert that looks like a Z06 for a few years now. so i traded in the 09 and ordered the new grand sport. it is a killer looking car. dont be afraid to jump on that gas pedal, thats what its all about. i had the 09 up to around 155 mph or so,it is a great adrenelin rush, especially with the top down!!!

---NO, the bolsters DO NOT WEAR RAPIDLY if you use the easy exit feature on the DIC.  The engineers designed the feature for a specific purpose - to ease entry and exit.  If a driver does not use that feature, they are shooting themselves in the foot!  That would be like running a Z06 or ZR1 up to 150 MPH, then complain about throwing out a boat anchor that wears excessively ... because you do not use the foot brake.  Please read the owners manual to understand how this feature operates.  I have never used a special bolster cover, and have no issues with the bolster on my 01 Coupe (original owner).

My 86 went fast, my 94 was better but went during the extended warranty but they would not replace as it was a normal wear and tear item. The underwriter at the time told me it was common. On my 2001 the canvas type seat cover has just worn thru (61,000) so I ordered from Mid America a C5 Seat Bolster Bikini. I have not installed it because I have decided to sell the car. Seats look like new. Another problem was the early vetts came with the leather glued to the foam so repair was big trouble and easiest was to order new leather covers with foam attached $1100 each. I have noticed they keep revising the design making it easier and easier to replace individual panels. I have always used the automatic feature the retracts the seats upon exit. My 2010 has the 4LT interior, all leather covered and two tone seats. Too beautiful to cover. Just my 2 cents and actual experience.

took mine to the drag strip last sunday-nobody could believe i had it there only 4 days old! that is what they are built for-speed and fun! ran a 12.98 at 113 mph. not too bad for a stock production car.i have about 450 miles on it already,i also believe in driving them, not looking at them in the garage. i really love the car and its performance and looks. i bought mine through the gm employee plan,so that saved me about 9k. my dad is retired from guide lamp. Davetx- i am sure your new grand sport will smoke your other corvettes, and i have been enjoying it.
