My vin is 450. I am sure your strip time will improve. Car & Driver ran 12.5, yours will improve. Also on the net in a video of the controled stick takeoff they got a .2 better 0 - 60 time with it turned off and a professional driver. I am not seeing the mileage that I got on my other cars. But everything seems to be much tighter. Just drove the car from Houston to Southern CA. Started out at 20.7 mpg av now 23.7. Drove 75 - 85 MPH. 2368 miles. So it takes a while to get loose. No piston slap or oil usage like my others. My others can get 26 mpg at about 75 mph on the freeway. I did baby mine untill 500 miles. Maybe I should have rode it hard to loosen up faster.

Surprised no one went to bolingreen and drove there new vette off the line. Heard it's really cool
A friend ordered his Grand Sport shortly after I ordered mine from the same dealer. He ordered direct from the lady that handles orders. It came in serial 622 but was not a Grand Sport when it arrived at the dealership, so they reordered a Grand Sport after waiting a week or two for him to decide. He was waiting for a Mfg. date and was just told it will be in January. I guess that rumor I had seen about Bowling Green being shut down some in Sept, Oct and November was correct.

Well, its been a while. Sad to sat that mine is tucked in for the winter. How are you liking your Davetex? I put about 2k miles on mine already. One thing I have to say is -LOVE IT!
Hi 2010 GS Roadster,
I have 3225 miles. I love it, loads of power. I put in an exhaust bypass switch so I can leave it on noisy all the time. We still have some warm days here in CA where I can run with the top down. I also added a Nav system by pass, rear camera and iPod connection where I can play music or movies from my iPod on the Nav screen. The stock intake system looks like aftermarket. It would not surprise me that it maybe has more power than they advertise.

Dave- how fast have you had it? I had mine to 170 mph. Smooth as silk!
Maybe 115, in CA they can take you right to jail for over 100 and some of the sherif and highway patrol have radar. I have not been in the boondocks to try any more. I will day the acceleration and handling is awsome. I am very pleased with this car. Best Corvette Convertable ever.

Okay, I have to ask ... WHERE did you get it up to 170MPH?

I got my C5 up to about 110MPH ... it was 4th gear on an on-ramp to a local highway ... but that's nothing compared to 170!

I live in the boondocks. At 170- in 5th gear-at 5k rpms. Still had 1500 rpms left in 5th gear plus 6th gear to go. I have to agree with Dave- BEST BUILT CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE EVER!!! Cant wait for spring!! I am sure if a cop was around-it would have been very ugly. lol
Ugly? Nah, I'm sure he would have loved to get his cruiser up to 170 as well. Heck, he may have wanted to race you for pink slips!

I'm jealous, but also tickled to death for ya!
