Goofy SEMA announcement on Gen IV small block

The Gen IV small-block V-8, with higher performance and an array of technical advancements. The Vortec 5300 small-block with DOD debuts on V-8-equipped versions of the 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT, GMC Envoy XUV and Buick Rainier. An automotive application of the Gen IV small-block without DOD debuts later in the 2005 Corvette.

I just can't believe that last sentence. I am attempting to investigate it. I emailed the latter name below to see if the Corvette is coming out after the trucks.

Up to this point (Nov 1, 2003) GM is not responding to my email reguarding the accuracy of the Gen IV release sequences. |headscratch|
