I walked by the More Than Tires booth at Carlisle and started talking to the "Green" filter guy....the other alternative to K&N filters...user cleanable and servicable reusable filters...
They havent had a filter for the LS3..that is until now...
I ended up buying literally the first one ever made for this application and couldnt wait to install it on my 2008 MN6 with NPP exhaust...
I installed the filter and it had a slight fitment issue where it would bow somewhat on one side when tightening down, they had asked for me to give my impressions once I installed it so I immediately emailed them on Sun night and kept it off of the car...
Just after 7am Mon morn they responded that they were redesigning the filter so the rubber is more rigid to avoid bowing and the redesigned one should be available on Tues and that they would ship me one....sure enough on Tues I get an email with a tracking # and I now have the second first
"Green" filter for LS3's...
I just installed it and the fit is perfect, just slips right in...
I tightened everything down and took her for a spin...feels a little better SOP and engine has a slightly more agressive tone to it...could be in my mind...
All in all...I had to replace the filter anyway...now I have a reusable one with as much as 25% less restriction than stock..and no its not a VaraRam but its a great alternative to stock for around $90.00...

I have also come to learn that these are the filters are the ones that come with all VaraRams from the manufacturer so if VaraRam trusts them for high flow I do...
