AUTOMOBILE mag article...
-First impression was less than positive but after carefully reading about design details etc and looking at every pic I can find I am warming up to car. I think there was too much hype about the NEW vette suggesting a radical departure from the C5 (this is my opinion and is not meant to be insulting but I did not like the C5 and in particular the interior) and I was expecting more of a visual change for the C6.
-The interior is a marked improvement over previous models...looks like Lutz took to heart the negatives on materials and fit/finish...look forward to doing the 'feel test' and thank lordy there is now a steering wheel suited for a sports car.
-Nice weight distribution numbers at 51/49
-Suspension components look great and the Z51 set up is the way I would go...better brakes worth that option alone
-The more I see the front end the more I am liking...was luke warm at first. I like the headlights and eventhough AUTOMOBILE mag called them cheap looking due to being painted... I happen to like that motif.
-Rear looks much more sleek and less vertical bulk
-Engine/Tranny set up a carry over but with all the improvements to output and refining components should make driving the car even better.
I have never owned a Vette and only had Euro sports cars but must say this Vette has drawn my attention..now if I can only get over two little letters.... GM

Lets face it, looks of a new car are very subjective. I can live with the fish mouth and down right like the rest of the car. I may be forced into an automatic over some arthritis and as such sure wish that they had the 6 speed automatic ready for it.
