Why extra 50hp on LS2 vs LS1 350hp:
Die-cast aluminum vallley cover and upper deck rails tie together the cylinder banks, increasing torsional and bending stiffness.
Separate ignition cil pack and short spark plug wire foreach cylinder for max efficiency of the delivered coil energy.
Crankcase breathing and ventilation include moving the PCV valve away from the rocker covers and into the block valley.
Higher 10.9 to 1 compression ratio.
Larger 90 mm single blade throttle body
LS2 heads are derived from ZO6 technology
Enhance airflow by approximately 4% on exhaust manifolds.
Bore inrease to 4 inch bring displacement to 6.0 liters
Camshaft sensor has been relocate to front of block for new oil galleries.
Flat top piston design with lower ring tension reduces friction and floating wrist pins.
Wingless oil pan with cast baffling reduces mass nad gives superior oil control under hard driving and maneuvers.
More powerful engine conroller using all ETC - electronic throttle control functions.
Exhaust system also has more gradual bends and an inline muffler that flows more efficiently.

unshrouded valve combustion chamber that helps produce a more efficient swirl of the air-fuel mixture.

319-T5 aluminum cast
catalyst substrates converters more effective and less restrictive
converters are mounted closer to exhaust maniforld for quicker lightoff
no air injection reaction system as in LS1
exhaust system has more gradual bends
inline muffler the flows more efficiently
