Manufacturing departure from the C-5 to C-6. This is an interesting departure from the normal opeating procedure. The Bowling Green, KY plant is not going to shut down for the changover to C6 production.. The C-6 will get built the same time as C-5 for a while as the C-5 gets phased out in sections of about one to five cars to start.

I have heard this before and it sure sounds good. However, I have seen a Chevy announcement that the C6 build starts July 19th.

Vette(s): previously owned 1961 dual 4's, 1962 fulie, 2 1969 coupes, 1977 coupe, 1970 454, 1978 coupe, 2 2001 coupes (2005 coupe high on list).
With the slow sales of the 2004 C5 maybe they will start production sooner ????

Dealers will consense to startup production numbers for the new C6 on May 19 for production July 19-August 1
Dealers may begin submitting orders on June 3 and 2005 production will begin on July 19, 2004
