"By the end of spring,400 Corvettes will be assembled as part of Manufacturing Validation. A number of these will be sent to the Proving Ground in Michigan for quality and durability testing under the most demanding conditions. Very sophisticated measurement systems will keep track of the accuracy in the build of each car, and sophisticated Red-X problem solving strategies will be used to determine how to remove imperfections form the assembly process. Towards the end of Manufacturing Validation, 250 Captured Test Fleets cars eill be produced and put in service. Employees in Michigan and Kentucky will drive these on public roads, accumulating another million miles of critical evaluation."
This can explain the sightings throughout NV, AZ, KY, TN, MI, etc.
