Zippy, I am so excited for you. We have to wait until November or December for ours. I don't know if I can hold out that long. Please post pictures - I can't wait to see it.

on my way home i saw a truckload of new vets headed for downtown New orleans where my dealer is located. There were at least 2 silver and several reds. my dealer has the invoice on my silver Vette so it looks like the long wait is almost over.

Dealer called and my Vette was on the truck that I saw this afternoon. I can pick it up at noon tomorrow. Happy Days Are Here!

Kwik Update: Yes, I have my new Vette. I bought it last Thursday and we also moved the same day! It rained almost every day since, and we are so busy with setting up our new home, unpacking, changing adresses, so on and so forth.
I've only driven the car 85 miles so far, but tomorrow or thursday we head to Bowling Green for the NCM 10th anniversary. I'll have a better report on the car after this 1,000 + mile trip!
With the move i have to get a new hi-speed connection..won't happen till next week. :( So I'm off the net until then.
Ths msg is sent from our clubhouse library at the new home.
Gotta go pack the car!
Love it!
Zippy :) :)

What!
Not so fast Zippster! You mean to say you drove that great new Vette 85 miles and not even a quick mention on anything? How tight the car felt or the firmness of the new bolstered seats? Come on now. 85 miles is plenty to know what you got there.
We're waiting.....

Does a bear #$@* in the woods?
Of course we need an 85 mile report!
How long have we waited for the this beautiful machine, when they revealed a change was forthcoming, then teased us at the dealer shows in January, some 9 months ago with the unvailing? Still the faithful wait, as we sift through the orders to get our C6's.
Rolling this baby down the road from your local dealer to your garage is going to give anyone a pretty good taste of "things to come". Interior quietness, seat bolstering firmness, ergonomics of the new shifter and other creature features, maybe even a little about the ride. If anything this little report can contain a preview of what's to come. 85 miles, 8500 miles does it really matter at this point?
Just how much we all love these cars is evidenced by the kinds of things we put up with from these Vettes, good, bad, indifferent, and we still keep coming back to buy them regardless the review.
Just say something Zippy!
I'll stretch this fanaticism a bit more here to even include the smells of a fresh new interior to account for something.
