Vette(s): previously owned 1961 dual 4's, 1962 fulie, 2 1969 coupes, 1977 coupe, 1970 454, 1978 coupe, 2 2001 coupes (2005 coupe high on list).
Hopefully it will be road noise and tire noise reduction with new run flat tires.

Again Goodyear is furnishing tires (Extended Mobility Tires EMT) run flats.
The design of a new sidewall is improve to help isolate the car from rough road surface imperfections, so this should help in reducing noise. More important the C-6 will be adding more insulation to bottom of the vette. Again this will help on interior noise level.

Vette(s): 03 6spd Coupe-quicksilver metallic-Corsa indy cat backs and X-pipe, Vararam, Baer Eradsipeed Plus one rotors, Billet Chrome Exhaust, lowered 1", 19" CCW 505A's (sweetest wheels on the planet), shortened shifter, cags delete.
Sound deadening material sounds good. It doesn't appear it will affect overall weight any. Any comments to the negative on this?

I was reading the 2005 C-6 is using 15 pounds of SPECIAL insulating materials to drastically reduce road and wind nosie.

R&T: What particular problem on the C5 was addressed with the C6?
Hill: I would say road noise made the C5 Corvette a little fatiguing, a little challenging, to carry on a conversation, particularly on Midwest roads. The road noise isolation that we have reached in the C6 makes it seem so much more worthy than the C5. That's one of our proudest accomplishments. With a car that's no heavier than the car being replaced.
