Vette(s): 03 6spd Coupe-quicksilver metallic-Corsa indy cat backs and X-pipe, Vararam, Baer Eradsipeed Plus one rotors, Billet Chrome Exhaust, lowered 1", 19" CCW 505A's (sweetest wheels on the planet), shortened shifter, cags delete.
Just got back from 2 dealers Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX and Frank Parra, Irving TX 15 mins. either way from my home. Both dealers recieved several C6's so far. These are all previous orders at this point. This month (Sept), Frank Parra will be getting 18 C6's. Classic about 8. Things should start to loosen up here pretty quick. Unless the factory starts slowing down production to generate demand.
Classic's at MSRP, Parra's selling over MSRP. But, Frank parra indicated they would work with you (come down) when pressured about the premium over MSRP.
People, don't pay over MSRP for goodness sake. Do your homework.

If people want a C6 bad enough (and have the $$$) they'll pay over MSRP and not bat an eye.
Personally, I'd wait till I could get one under MSRP, even thought it could mean waiting a long time. Doesn't really matter since I won't be buying any new car anytime in the near future.

You're probably right there, Adam.
Though as you know, most folks that are able to have the disposable income didn't get it by being stupid.
I see and hear of some $7.5k-$10k or more over MSRP. This may be good ole economics but it's short sidednes and screwing the public period.
More likely the case is a customer just didn't take anytime to find the dealer who just won't gouge their loyal customer. Good dealers won't sell for more than MSRP.
It's about being smart. Bat an eye, push the issue with your dealer and you'll walk out of there a happy Vette owner not a sucker.
By the way folks. For starters, this Labor weekend Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine,TX had $500 off MSRP. It was a GM sponsored offer for the region. The deals are slowly surfacing.

Vette(s): LT4 w/hot cam, exhaust, intake work - 343 RWHP/335 Torque.
I wonder how many will purchase over MSRP and then pay interest on top of it!! Not really smart at all. My LT4 is going to do me just fine until things settle down. My real wish is to get a year old Z06 in about 2 years. (I wonder how many have that same desire....

You got it Southern Son. There's the interest on all that too.
Those that can afford it, well, they'd just pay in full. By doing so, they'll think there saving money.
Anyway, that's the great thing about the Forum. Tap into the resource(s)we have here and you'll more than likely get some ideas from one or more of our many wizards out there.
Now, go out there and hug your Vette today.

Well, if you finance (or lease) ... there is a cost to pay for using someone else's money!
As for the benefits of financing or leasing ... that's not really an issue that one person can answer "Carte Blanche" for all parties! What works for one person may not work (or be of interest) to others.
All of that aside ... I agree about not paying more than MSRP.

OK, we all agree doing a little checking before plunking douwn the moola. As there are many dealers out there sticking with the MSRP for their margin of sale.
How about any feedback on those dealers that know are giving deals or GM bonus bucks off sticker. They're sure to come as the holidays roll around. This Labor Day saw signs of it with $500 off.
Over and out.

On Saturday I was at the John Elway Chevrolet dealership
for a Corvette Show. Had a Commerative ZO6 but no '05's.
I don't know what they plan to do this time but when the
ZO6's first came out, they were asking $20K over sticker!
We were supposed to be able to purchase Corvette merchandise
for 15% off but the parts department heard about the show
only 2 days before so had about nothing for us to buy.
I'll be looking around before I order my '08. Shouldn't
be much of a mania at that time. Maybe have alot of rebates
and 0% at that time.
