Vette(s): 03 6spd Coupe-quicksilver metallic-Corsa indy cat backs and X-pipe, Vararam, Baer Eradsipeed Plus one rotors, Billet Chrome Exhaust, lowered 1", 19" CCW 505A's (sweetest wheels on the planet), shortened shifter, cags delete.
Yep, can't say I'm at all surprised. Since no more will be produced, the designated "special edition" models can almost be assured of some lofty prices. $20k over MSRP I think is a stretch. But then, that's me.
I'm sure the individual isn't expecting a quick return on their investment. But then, if they were that smart I don't think they would have paid $20k over sticker either.
Not to knock another Vette fanatic who might buy it though. If these people would get on the Web and then check the forums they would know the facts on prices.
Right now I know of at least a dozen Commemoratives at MSRP out here in Texas.
....Back to the Z06. I just can't see why GM decided to do stick-on decals on a sweet carbon fiber hood. Cost would, have been passed on to the consumer so why take the "low road" on the flagship.

Was at Frank Parra several years ago - they were selling C5s over MSRP then.
Lisa Buick
P.S. Hey Zippy, how's the new car?

the 20K over they made back them makes up for the 3% hold back they may make on the left over C-5 they now have on the lot as they sell at cost to try and recover the floor plan cost.

Yup, and all that too!
I guess you can say more power to the seller if you can get it.

My silver C6 was delivered on AUG 31ST and I paid list less my GM card rebate of $ 1934.64. My dealer Sewell Chevrolet in New Orleans does not put any additional charges on anything they sell. That's why I have purchased 4 Vettes from them.

Kudos on the price. Congrats on the new ride.
Do fill us all in on GM card rebate. Is the GM card for employees of GM?

I work at SUBURBAN CHEVROLET in Sandy, Or. and we don't charge any additional mark-up.We have one of the largest Corvette allocations in the pacific n.w. We have gotten 2 coupes so far and the 3rd one just left Bowling Green so should arrive shortly. Give me a call if you have any questions. (503) 502-8502 Thanks! Johnny Walker
The GM CARD REBATE is for using the GM Master Card. You are given a credit of 5% on all purchases charged on the card. The max you can get in a year is $500.00 and you can get a max of$3500.00 over a period of 7 years. I charge everything I can on the card and pay off the balance every month. So far I have saved about$5400.00 on 3 vettes.
the max rebate on a 5% card used on a corvette is $1000. if you have the older card that pays 1% you can use all you have on a corvette. that is what GM card people told me
