Anyone can buy a new Corvette with Museum delivery (R8C code) from thier favorite dealer. The car is delivered from the Bowling Green assembly plant directly to the NCM (about 2 miles by truck), and the NCM staff expertly prepare your new Vette, along with a tour of the Museum and assy plant....Check out www.corvettemuseum.com for more details.

Hope this helps. |wavey|

Actually, I believe it goes from the factory to the local
dealer first for them to prepare the car, then to the
museum to be displayed for the R8C delivery. It used to
be Campbell Chevrolet but now a defferent dealer. Have
to keep those dealers involved.

I have had a C6 Convert on order since April 02 with my dealer in Texas. The Owner assures me I will get his first Convert. Good luck to you other guys. Presently have a 01 Convert & a 94 Convert. Will sell the 94 after obtaining my 05.

Christmas, the R8C option changed almost two years ago. The Vette now goes directly across the street to the NCM and they do the "dealer prep" now. My Anniversary coupe was built on Dec. 17th 2002, and I took delivery at the NCM on Dec. 20th. It is definitely smooth operation and I am convinced the guys at the NCM do a much better job of "dealer prep" and any dealer. There is an extra degree of "TLC" involved. Keep the shiney side up!

Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention it on my previous post but I am on the list for a Z06 in '06 with Sharon Dibble @ Maroone Chevrolet. Now that the Coupe PR is out, it is looking pretty good to me. I am now leaning toward the coupe, but either way, it won't be until '06. I love my 50th Anniversary Coupe, Pace Car version, but I personally believe there might be more to love about the C6! Keep the shiney side up!

Vette(s): 03 6spd Coupe-quicksilver metallic-Corsa indy cat backs and X-pipe, Vararam, Baer Eradsipeed Plus one rotors, Billet Chrome Exhaust, lowered 1", 19" CCW 505A's (sweetest wheels on the planet), shortened shifter, cags delete.
Provided there's anything left, waiting until later into 04 (Sept/Oct) as 05 allocations start to show up. Then just maybe you might catch a deal off MSRP, just maybe. Otherwise I'll just grin and bear it until the 05 inventory is well underway and sitting out in the lot, then negotiate a deal on a C6.
