Front brake ducts

I have a C6 Z51 made on 01/11/2005 that has two different front brake ducts. The one on the right side has a small opening, the one on the left has a large one. Did chevrolet install a wrong duct, and if they did which one is the wrong one? Has anyone else noticed this?

FYI, Chevrolet installed the wrong brake duct on the right side. Z51 Corvettes use the open ducts on both sides.
