I have an issue with the Left side bolster on my car. I'm having the seat cover replaced for the second time, The seat bolster on the driver side keeps wearing down untill the color is gone. It's getting scraped everytime I get in the car.
Anyone else have this problem?

I had the same problem in my '99. I havn't had the problem in the '08 yet but I have less then 10K on it. I know that area of the seat gets the most wear and tear from getting in and out.
This is a common complaint - due to operator (driver error). Set your DIC to move the seat BACKWARDS, before you get in and out of the car. If the dealer has been performing the repairs under warranty - they are doing you a huge favor. The instructions on how to do this are in your owners manual. It is not an option. Check with your salesman, they should be able to show you how this is done ... and should have shown you upon delivery - if you bought it from them.

It is very easy to overcome - if you use the feature. Consider that several people have had driver side bolsters replaced several times (and do NOT use the easy in/out feature), and the vast majority of those who DO use the feature, have little or no issues. If the concern is over the quality (thickness) of the leather, then do not repalce with OEM - have someone else re-skin the car, then make sure the easy-in/out feature is used. It is there for a reason. It's like b***hin' about scratched paint on the top of the door - because you climb in and out of the car - through the window. If there is a problem with what is being done - STOP DOING IT! 17K miles on my car - no issues whatsoever! SIMPLE!

I believe this to be a designmanufacturing flaw in the seat housing. I have had mine replaced twice. I do use the easy out/memory for the seat ALL the way back function.
The 1st time (12 months old, ~10,000miles) they tried to blame me (cell phone/wallet/keys, etc) and said they would replace the cover as a courtesy THIS time. The 2nd time was no issue with service department. I pointed out an extending "lip" in the seat housing where the wear was happening. The service guy nodded his head when I showed him the defect (as if he already was aware of it). They supposedly "pounded" it down and all has been fine since.
What "seat housing" are you referring to? Do you mean plastic trim around the seat? Metal frame under the cushion? Stitching?
As for others complaining about seat wear - most do not use the easy-out memory, then complain the leather is too thin, or inferior quality. Funny how this only happens on the Corvette (ooops, let me check the XLR Forum) ... and not other GM vehicles. That, in and of its own, shows it is a user error in all but the most remote instances.
Leather does not wear through ... but rather, even if left untreated, it will crack with age. Leather does not wear through on its own. The cow never had an issue with bones popping through, so the wearing issues are indeed from abrasions of some sort or another.

Yes, I was referring to the metal frame that the seat cover is over.
The cause of unusually quick wear is from one's butt sliding over the area, however the ROOTCAUSE is not the butt sliding, but that the frame actually protrudes causing a high spot, sort of like a big pimple on the frame.
As was pointed out, this does not appear to be an issue elsewhere with a similair process of getting in/out.
My issue (both times) was wear and the starting of seam separation.
Since the "repair" and 2nd seat cover and another ~30,000 miles, the seat is fine.
