When using the paddle shift I very much dislike the 500 rpm early lead I need to give when shifting. There is a bad shift lag and running the rpm's any closer to red line will cause a bump on the rpm limiter |frown| I did have the dealer reprogram the tranny last July and it was better for about two to three weeks. Then the rpm shift lag came back. I need to initiate a shift at 6,000 rpm to get it to shift at 6,500 rpm.

I also do not use the "S" mode unless I want to get off the line quick. By not using the "S" mode for normal driving the computer keeps the memory for this mode for high rpm between shift points.

Has anyone been able to get a dealer to update the programing to the 2008 spec?

You get a 500 rpm bump when up shifting. My complaint is a free wheeling effect when down shifting. . At 50mph shift down to 5th or 4th then 3rd then 2nd and you have to maintain a throttle pressure to force the shifts or else run into whats in front of you while your trying to slow down. Once you get it to engage in 3rd it usually will grab 2nd . All of this stops working if you touch the brakes because then it goes into free wheeling.
I had the TM threshold lowered but that did not help down shifting at all.
It just seems counter intuitive to press on the gas to slow down. Anybody find a cure for this other than a manual tranny.
