I have an '07 in Le Mans Blue. After I washed the car the first time I noticed that there was still something that looked like finger print smudges on the roll bar above the driver's head. Polishing didn't help, and then I noticed that the smudge was actually under the clearcoat. I'm waitning for the factory rep to look at it; I hope that he doesn't give me a hard time to get it repainted correctly.
If I scratch or mar the paint on my own, that's one thing. But it's very upsetting for the car to come from the factory that way.

Paint problams,, I have a 07 silver coupe. I have not noticed any fingerprints or smudges under the clearcoat. What I have, looks like the car was painted and then a few dryed paintchips about the size of the C on the caps lock key, on your keyboard. Give are Take a few.Fell on the car and then they sprayed the clearcoat...only on the front finders. Theres about four or five on each finder...I have not said anything about it yet, because I dont want just my finders repainted I'm afraid that they will not match...Yes, I am going straight home to look for those damn fingerprints!!!!GalenC6
I bought my 07 Victory Red in December 06. I waxed the car for the first time 2 weeks ago. Upon wax removal on the top, I felt small raised areas. My flourescent lights showed them really well. Turns out, it is what they referred to as 'solvent pops', caused by applying coats of paint too quickly. The solvent is trying to flash off, and can not, so the bubble pops under the paint or clear. The dealer colored sanded and resprayed clear. Didn't work. Now total repaint.

This stinks! Have they completed the job yet? If so, How does it look?
I have a black '07 C6 Coupe and just discovered what appears to be a blemish of unknown origin on the hood. At first I was going to seek out a detailer and see if it's in the wax coating, but after reading your's and other stories on the Forum I'm wondering if I may have the same or similar problem.
I'm suppose to see a dealer service manager tomorrow, but since I'm not in my home state right now I don't know what they can do.
My question to you is "did you find the Dealership helpful in solving your problem and what did they recommend"? As the salesman I talked to said, "these are $70,000 cars on average so we should expect better than average service". Did you talk to anyone at the factory? How did you get in touch with the factory rep to begin with?
Puzzled........
