Use this forum to discuss problems that you are having with your C6.
This way, you can find out if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. If they are, then perhaps GM should be notified about it.
C6VR will help to contact GM if major problems start to present themselves.

QUESTION: Has any C6 owner seen evidence of 'poor' quality Polished Wheels (option RPO QG7)....i.e. incomplete buffing and/or poor/rushed clearcoat....on rim-surround primarily, some scuffing on spokes. My VIN is before 3000. Nowhere near the brightness and consistency of C5 Polished Wheels.

I agree that my polished wheels on my 2005 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic Coupe has the same problem with the wheel finish. It is not a polished on the spokes particularly and is not a good a finish as on my C5s that I have owned in the past. It certainly is not up to par as I would expect.

Same issue on mine. I picked it up last week and all I can say is, if you are going to buy a C6 get it with the painted wheels and then get them chromed. It will cost the same in the long run, but they will look a lot better!

I picked up my new Victory Red C6 Coupe on 1/4/05 and the optional polished wheels do not have a consistant finish all over. It's not unacceptable but it certainly isn't as good as the C5 wheel. I first saw this subject posted several months ago so I believe GM is unaware of this or chosen to accept the finish as is.
A second problem I've found is condensation in the headlight well below the outer conformed glass. It appeared the first night I left the car out but evaporates after the car sits in the sun all morning. Eventually I believe this will collect a mold. Has anyone else experienced this?

I immediately did the chrome wheel exchange through West Coast Corvettes, most will not be happy with the polished aluminum wheel. If you have not purchased a C6 yet, I would suggest ordering with the standard wheel and doing the exchange.

In reply to issues of condensation in the headlight well below the outer conformed glass, I have seen this on my C6 as well. However, the problem has seem to have gone away over the last month of operation. I got my black C6 Z51 in mid November and drive the car everyday. The condensation problem showed up on the driver side the first night I had the car. I never did see it on the passenger side. Around Xmas, I stop seeing the problem??? I did notice that the condensation would dry up with the head lights on very fast.
The finish on one of my wheels is also "foggy" in places. The only real issue I have with the car is one of my brakes squeals at below 60 to 70 percent brake pressure. At full brake pressure, no issue ---
I traded a 5 month old 2004 C5 in on this black C6 Z51 after the test drive. Today, I am still very happy with what I did and enjoy driving and owning my C6.
