Today I was waiting for my wife to come out of the mall and I decided to put the power top down on my Corvette. I didn't start the car, I simply pit it in ACC mode and put the top down. Afterwords I tried to start the car and it would not start. It would turn over like it normally does, but it just kept cranking without it starting. I was startled to say the least and I quickly hit the off on the start button. I tried it several times after that and had the same problem. Thinking I may have to abandon my Corvette in a mall parking lot (of all places) I put the top up on the car. I tried to start it again and it started right up. Thinking there had to be something related to having the top down, I shut the car off and put the top down again with the ACC. Again it would not start. I Put the top up and it started. I came home and tried to duplicate the scenario with no luck. It seems to be alright. Does anybody have any ideas?

I'm sure the top was all the way down.I always listen for the click and the hard cover to come to a complete closure. By the way, I have not had this problem arise since the first incidence well over a year ago.
I think it was just a gremlin as I have had a few gremlins with the Vette and they have healed themselves. Usually I have to lock the car manually with the fob or start it and shut it off and start it up again. One gremlin that most sticks in my mind in addition to the not starting one is that the window would not index down or up when opening or closing the door. They all have thankfully not reared their ugly head for a long time.
