Thought I would ask if anybody else has had a problem with their driver's door not unlocking electrically? Today I went by the local Chevy dealership to look at the accessories they had in stock, went back out to the car and couldn't get the drivers door to unlock. I ended up releasing it mechanically. Luckily the dealer was able to troubleshoot the problem today, and ordered a door lock actuator for it. I hope it will be in later in the week.

My 2002 C5 has had this door lock problem for a while and I have been too busy to take it in but next week it goes in. The driver side visor clip on the w/s header is broken and the seat seams on the left bolster are looking like they might tear open. The biggy is the loud single tappet noise when cold. This is my 5th Vette and the best of the lot. First one was in 84. If the 6 speed auto trans comes out in 06 that will be my 6th Vette. Here in Ca. I get to drive at 75-80 on the freeway alot and I get 30 mpg. Really frustrates my friends with German or Japanese cars.

No problem as above, C-6 3 months old, with 800 miles on it.

if you lock the door with the FOB it will not unlock using the inside door button,you must used the FOB to unlock the door.

The part has been replaced and all is well. I actually had the latch actuator go out.

I had the same problem, but with the passanger side door. Deal had to replace the door lock sensor. Fixed the problem.
