My C5 Vette had a wiring harness connection suitable for a Citizen's Band (CB) Radio up under the dash on the passenger side of the car. It was identified in the Owner's Manual as well. Is there such a pre-wired connection in the 2007 C6 Corvette? Our local Corvette Club communicates during cruises via CB Radio. A great "Heads Up" on those back roads.

GM did away with that pigtail. Suggest you plug in your CB to the cigarette lighter receptacle.

Steve,
A lot of us use these in our Vettes
Cobra 75WXST
It's a all in one radio in the microphone.
Wire it in many different ways. Fuse panel or find a hot wire to splice into.
Or the cigarette lighter.

I now have a C6 Convertible. The Accessory wiring pigtail still exists behind the Glove Box. It remains HOT (energized) even when the ignition is OFF. Very handy for my CB Radio; I just have to remember to shut off the CB when I leave the car.

I use an All-In-One COBRA hand held CB Radio. Very ergonomically designed.
I found that the C6 has an auxiliary power connection behind the passenger side dash; always powered so you must make sure any component must be turned off when not in use.

For a Corvette Chassis you need a no ground plane kit.'No ground plane" (NGP) CB antenna kits were specifically designed to solve the problems associated with the lack of ground plane (counterpoise). This normally occurs on vehicles constructed of plastic, fiberglass, wood or aluminum.

The Antenna mound is designed to secure behind the upper License Plate mounting using the two bolts. The bracket is designed to extend the Quick Disconnect out beyond the rear facia to ensure no damage occurs as the Antenna bounces with road impacts. I made mine from aluminum so it flexes; I have had no body damage after five years of use.
