Vette(s): 1979 "Corvette Red" Coupe
I was out in my Vette today, so of course I'm keeping an eye down the road for other Vettes heading my way so I can wave.... and off in the distance I can see some sporting looking car with parking lights on in the same position and a C5 Vette...

DRL'S on C-5 makes you stand OUT. 
Ahhh ... Adam ... your eye is "untrained"! I see lots of Camaros and Firebirds in the distance. I have trained my mind to refrain from any potential "Corvette" excitement, until it can reprocess the information to ascertain if the DRL "glow" is TRULY a C5 ... or just a GM sibling. Next time you see those DRL's ... relax ... take a deep breath ... glance again. If you still can't tell for certain ... do what I do (follow these steps carefully):
1) Depress accelerator with right foot
2) Check for the potential of an oncoming C5
3) If still unsure ... repeat steps 1 and 2 (sometimes, this must be done more than once to be absolutely sure)
