I can only reply based on my feelings and my use of the site. First I would like to say my first attempt was to ask about a problem I had but received only one answer to my question. I have answered several requests for help and information.
Second I am always forgetting my sign-in information. I also find it hard to get around within the site and how to start a thread. Putting a picture on the site is another problem.
Sorry, but that is my problem with the site and I'm sure others are less challenged than I.

Well Adam I think this is the most threads I have seen to one question on here. It's hard to compare this site to the C3VR. We are looking at two different types of folks I think. This site we have newer cars and most don't really have to do much work on them. Our other site is a bunch of gear heads and most of us do are own work on a machine that takes a bit more attention. Most of us on the C3VR have meet at one time or another and that builds a different kind of forum, they are a good bunch of folks and get along very well together.
I have posted on this site and have had some good feed back from the members that do post. I just have not had that much to talk about with the C6. If I see something I know about I will make a post but most of the time just read. The site does have some good features, like the filter for ebay, I have used it.
I would say give it a chance, I know that most of the members in my corvette club are into really modifying their cars and go to the sites that deal more with that, this would be a little slow for them, like me!
I hope this gives you a little more insight and help.

I really can't give you an answer except for why I am not here as often. When I got my first C6, was on here quite a bit, just to see what others were saying. Now being on my 2nd one, not really anything I don't know about it, and fortunately, have had zero problems with both. However, I actually do come to the site a couple of times a week, I just don't sign in unless to answer a question (if I know the answer or solution), but those to have become few and far between. I think it may be due to the fact (think someone else already said it), that these cars just don't have a lot of problems anymore, so probably not a lot to post about.

The new stingray has popped my C6 bubble. I still love my car but it ain't the top dog anymore;( I just put some non run flats on the front @ 30K miles and it feels like I'm riding on air but it still handles great. Any thoughts on mixing non run flats on front with runflats on rear? Thanks Steve
Adam, I think you're correct in the fact that activity creates activity. But as others have said the lack of needing to do hands on things to the C6 (other than washing, waxing, and simple visual upgrades) and the ease of interacting with social media have cut into the more "traditional" forum based sites.
I used to spend a fair amount of time at CF and CAC, even the ZR-1 Net Registry, but after getting flamed repeatedly at those sites I have stopped going to them (got better things to do with my time than to put up with some blockheads). CF and CAC do have a lot of traffic but the organization of those sites makes it difficult to find topics that you're interested in. When I wasn't able to find a particular topic I'd ask a question and then get jumped on for bringing up something that had been discussed years ago. C3VR was the first place I found where there never was any bashing or flaming tolerated (Adam has been very adament about that guiding principle and has carried that into each site he has brought life to). That has cultivated a strong fellowship amoungst a fairly large core group of C3VR members who have a devout love of that generation. I've developed friendships there with folks across the country - many of whom I have yet to meet face-to-face. After adding "The Beast" to the garage I started spending some time on the (then) newly hatched C4 site, C4VetteRegistry. That site has gone through some of the same growing pains that this site is experiencing.I joined C6VR when it started up becuz I have an interest in the C6. May never own one but ya never know. Two other "toys" in the garage have taken time away from the Corvette world as research needed to be done for projects on them. Also overall my available web time has diminished and has been segmented as well to other places.
I think that is also a factor in reduced traffic here - folks probably just don't have the available free time that they used to.
Having said all of that (sorry to have rambled abit) I think it is just going to take some additional time for this site to build up some momentum. Today's environment is very different from what is was when C3VR came on-line a dozen years ago. Bottom line though is the current membership has to be more active to infuse some life into the site which will in turn interest more folks to see what is going on here.
